Members of Funeral Diner and Repeater Records are starting a Kickstarter project to to repress their epic, long out of print album, “The Underdark” on vinyl.
Funeral Diner were together from 1998 – 2007 and their 2005 album “The Underdark” is considered to be one of the best albums of the hardcore/screamo genre. Funeral Diner was a groundbreaking band from the hardcore/screamo scene, along with bands like Orchid, City of Caterpillar, and Yaphet Kotto, and has been and continues to be a major influence on modern bands like Touche Amore, Pianos Become The Teeth and many others. The repress will be on gray vinyl with original artwork on a cardstock cover, along with a digital download.
Repeater Records is aiming to "repress and preserve some of the amazing punk/hardcore records that have changed our lives which have gone out of press or have become lost in the dustbins of punk obscurity. The name “Repeater” is an homage to the groundbreaking Fugazi album of the same name. The name also serves the purpose of the label which is to repress (“repeat”) great records and give them a new life for the new generation of punk/hardcore kids.", as they say on their page.
